Travel Books

Travel Books are DONE!

     A few things to note:
  1. There are far more students in classes than I have time to check and re-check work. So don't expect perfection.
  2. I offered spelling help, but many students didn't let spelling stop them so there are a few inventive spellings....which is good.  We want the thoughts to flow from the keyboard at this age.  I did not correct them.
  3. There were A LOT of pictures to look at so I may have missed something that shouldn't be in there.  If you see something questionable, let me know please and I will remove it.  suzannecarney@selahschools.org
  4. If you don't see your students' work it could be because another student accidentally deleted their work, they were absent on these days, had other school services to attend, or completely missed the reason for doing this project.  (for example their page came out with pictures only of puppies or the military.  This next week students can choose to do anything we've covered in class so I can help them re-do it if they want.
  5. Lots of skill went into this: safety and searching for appropriate pictures, using the keyboard to communicate, making captions, resizing and rotating objects & adding comic like panels.
  6. Click your students technology seat number to see their work.

Hi-Cap & Re-cap

We've finished our Book Creator books, but I need a little time to delete blank pages, etc...with 830+ students working on them, there are a lot of things to fix before I print them.

All the grades have gone back to our Computer Science curriculum from Code.org.  We have almost finished the entire course in each grade level.  That's nearly 10 hours of coding!  In my Youtube channel you'll see a Kindergarten pair working on it together.

We've also touch base in Kindergarten and 1st Grade with our Internet Safety Rules again here:

Here are a few Hi-Cap videos for those interested too.
